Led By Zhong Nanshan, Guangzhou’S First National Air Purification Products Quality Inspection Center!

Recently, with Academician Zhong Nanshan, Guangzhou Development Zone build the first national quality inspection center for air purification products, which will further standardize the existing industry standards for air purifiers and provide new ideas for epidemic prevention and control.

Zhong Nanshan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Famous respiratory expert
“We spend 80 percent of our time indoors. In the past six months, what we have learned the most is the virus. How the virus is transmitted indoors and how it is transmitted in elevators is still unknown.Viruses are smaller particles, and how air purifiers can be improved into this new field of prevention and control presents us with a new challenge.”

The National Air Purification Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, located in Guangzhou Development Zone, will be guided by an expert committee consisting of two academicians and 11 professors. The director of the expert committee is Academician Zhong Nanshan.

In addition, the center will cooperate with the guangzhou Institute of Microbiology, the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Diseases of Guangzhou Medical University, Shenzhen University and other scientific research forces to realize the strong alliance.

Professor Liu Zhigang, Vice President of Medical School of Shenzhen University

“(The three links of infectious diseases) are the source of infection, the way of transmission and the vulnerable people. If we can stop the transmission of the virus in terms of the way of transmission, the air purifier can play a very good role in protecting everyone. The National Inspection Center, as the “national team”, can establish standards and test methods in this respect.”

Air purifiers can effectively improve indoor air quality with low cost and simple operation.

Reporters learned that there are numbers of air purification products emerge on the market, nearly 70% are from the Pearl River Delta region, but there are problems of uneven product quality, lack of independent intellectual property rights, ect .

The construction of the National Inspection Center is expected to be completed in December 2021, which will promote the development of the Pearl River Delta region and even the domestic air purification industry, accelerate the improvement of the industrial service system, and enhance the international competitiveness.

Gu Shiming, Founder of Guangdong Indoor Sanitation Industry Association

“National Inspection Center has the authority to arbitrate, supervise and decide on the data processed by the inspection institutions. And it takes on a lot of responsibility and work on the construction of standardization, certification of products and evaluation of products.”
